In 1975, Dave Hutchison founded a public accounting firm after being with Touche Ross, CPAs and McGladrey Hendrickson & Company, CPAs.  He specialized in income taxes. But many clients asked about investments and what he thought of certain mutual funds or real estate offerings, which was so popular in the late 1970s-early 1980s.  In order to give such advice, Dave felt he needed to compare side-by-side many alternative opportunities in order to give any meaningful advice.  He became amazed at the differences he perceived and started specializing in investment comparisons, while having other employees do the tax work.

 

For the past 25+ years, he has specialized in independent financial and investment planning, seeking the best opportunities for clients. He provides analytical facts to assist you in making important financial decisions that are important to you and your families’ future financial security.

Dave Hutchison is a Certified Financial Planner (CFPTM) and a Registered Securities Principal with Multi-Financial Securities Corporation. He has been quoted in BARRONS, among other publications, has appeared on radio and television and conducted seminars for CPAs and the public back in the 1980's including warning about real estate tax shelters that were risky and not worth the tax shelter benefits, as well as a variety of financial planning and investment topics.

 

Dave was founder of Hutchison Financial Corporation (HFC), an NASD broker-dealer which had about 100 representatives and employees in five states. While headquartered in Minneapolis HFC also had a Phoenix office with about 30 representatives and became somewhat known locally for being the underwriter for a company called Go-Video in 1987, which had a lot of public and media attention when its stock had large gains.

 

Dave moved from Minneapolis to Phoenix in 1988.   Dave prefers working directly with individual clients rather than all the headaches of a broker-dealer doing underwritings etc.  Therefore, he merged HFC into a public company and devotes himself to researching investment opportunities and working directly with clients.
